Luang Prabang Railway Station location and transfers
Luang Prabang Railway Station serves the Laos-China Railway but is not in the historic centre. Treat the road transfer between the station and the accommodation as part of the journey, particularly for an early departure or a fixed hotel pickup.
Use a local minivan, taxi or hotel-arranged transfer. Confirm the pickup point, keep the hotel name and address available offline and allow enough time for traffic, security and passenger-document checks.

Planning connections after the train
The station transfer should be planned before committing to a closely timed tour, boat, flight or another train. The scheduled rail time does not include the road journey at either end.
When continuing south, remember that Vang Vieng Railway Station and Vientiane Railway Station are also outside their main visitor areas.
